Read a thon!

We had our first read a thon of the school year! We read independently, with partners, had a guest reader, and performed a reader’s theater. We had a lot of fun!

Teaching Posters

As a wrap up to our Rocks and Minerals Unit, we made teaching posters on a topic related to rocks and minerals. Each partner or partners was given a topic and they needed to “teach” their classmates all about it. Here are the posters:

Character Trait Silhouettes

As a wrap up to our study of character traits, Susan Boss helped us make personal silhouettes. We then put our character traits on them and displayed them in the hall. Here they are in case you can’t stop by the school to see them.

Volcano Video

Last week we erupted our paper mache volcanoes. First, we made newspaper balls to form the shape of a cindercone volcano. Next, we put paper mache strips onto our frame.
